We’re proud to announce our new name: Integrous.
For the past 10 years, we’ve been known as The Fence Experts. We’ve delighted thousands of customers by living out our simple view of business: that it should be good for all people.
We started with just one employee and have grown into a respected team of 40+ experts with a single goal of placing people (customers, employees, vendors, and community) at the center of our business model.
As we began to expand our services to better meet our customers’ needs — and started building decks in addition to fences — we knew it was time for a change. We realized we needed a name that reflects our expansion of services as well as what we’ve become and what we stand for.
But renaming a company might be likened to renaming a child. Almost, anyway. It was a process that forced us to think deeply about who we are, what grounds us, how we’re known, and what we have to offer the industry.
Nothing was changing internally (except for company apparel!). Our owners, leaders, team, mission, warranty, craftsmanship, and service would all remain exactly as they had been while operating as The Fence Experts.
How to choose a name: something so closely linked to an existing identity? In the end, Integrous won. (It’s an old word from the 1600s, an adjective of integrity, which has since fallen out of use.) “Integrity” is actually the word most frequently used by our customers to describe us and has been our core value since we began as The Fence Experts in 2009.
For us, Integrous means that our business is about far more than what we do; it’s about who we are. It’s about dedication to our employees, who are part of our family. It’s our way of thinking about how we treat each other and serve our customers.
As Integrous, we’ll always put integrity first. We’ll stay committed to uncompromising quality, craftsmanship, and customer service as we enter our next decade of business. We’re proud of where we’ve come from and where we can take this company as a team.
