Complex Custom Deck With Built-Ins – Newtown Square, PA

At this home in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, the homeowner had a vision for a visually striking yet extremely functional deck. After careful collaboration with Integrous’ Deck Division, the result was this multi-level open deck with a variety of customizations.

The main deck area was designed to be flush with the back doors, where the homeowner can step out to enjoy dining, lounging, and warming up by the fire table. A privacy seating wall replaces the railing in the corner to create added seclusion.

A small set of stairs transitions to the lowered deck area, which features four built-in planter boxes and a radius railing made of the same textured black aluminum railing used throughout the deck. The unobtrusive railing creates clean lines that complement the various PVC decking featured on this deck, including the main English Walnut boards, Dark Hickory accents, and Coastline features on the planters and sitting wall.

Just below the curved overhang is the extended vertical skirting with a sliding barn door to allow for access to a storage area below.
