Expansive Backyard Deck and Patio – Malvern, PA

Project #412

With a spacious outdoor entertaining space like this one in Malvern, Pennsylvania, you will be the house where friends and family gather to celebrate life’s important events. This deck creates a sense of grandeur while also maintaining approachability between the high elevation highlighted by long spans of skirting, to the stately open gable roof.

The 18′ x 14′ A-frame roof ties into the existing shed-style roof to create a significant area for comfortable lounging, including recessed lights, a fan, and electric heaters. The cathedral-style ceiling features Synergy tongue and groove wood planks with a dark brown finish.

These wood tones are carried over to the TimberTech deck boards in Pecan with a Mocha border, which mimic the appearance of wood but with boosted longevity and lowered maintenance. Sleek aluminum railing frames both open and covered sections of the deck, including a gate with a lockable latch at the top of the stairway.

With a large patio at the bottom of the extended stairway, the view from the ground is a key element of the overall aesthetic of this outdoor living space. Horizontal deck skirting made of white PVC trim boards hides the functional framing, with a small access door installed on the side to allow for use underneath the elevated deck. The same material is used for the fascia trim for a finished look from all angles.

“Integrous built an amazing deck with roof cover that is beautiful,” the homeowner said after installation. “Our project was on budget and on time. I highly recommend Integrous for all your outdoor deck needs.”
