Expansive Open Deck – Glen Mills, PA

The goal: Building a new deck.

The challenge: Naturally connecting the new deck to the existing pavilion and hardscape wall.

The solution: This custom open deck with parallel stairways.

As the deck spills into the pavilion area, one set of stairs lands on a flagstone walkway while the other forms a L-shape to link to both the hardscape area and the grassy yard below.

The Integrous team helped the homeowner select a deep brown Brazilian Walnut shade of TimberTech decking to resemble the rustic wood beams of the existing pavilion while gaining durability. Aluminum railing with lighted post caps surrounds not just the open deck, but the hardscape area, as well, for safety and continuity.

The result: An expansive backyard oasis that looks like it’s always been there.
